UPDATE: I talked to the handler of the STAR Bond Proposal for the @chiefs and @royals today. He tells me the legislature is planning to take this up at their anticipated special session. He says “overwhelming support from both sides of the aisle and from the governors office.”

NEW OVERNIGHT: Kansas Legislature adjourns without taking up STAR Bond proposal meant to lure the @Chiefs or @Royals to the state. Lawmakers may try again in January. They did send another tax cut plan to the governor, which she is likely to veto and call a special session.

Here's the video that's being circulated of what a new @Chiefs stadium would look like in KS. This comes as the House and Senate are still working on a tax cut deal. The STAR Bond proposal still hasn't been brought up. The later the night goes, the less of a chance it has.

In Topeka today, watching state lawmakers work on their last day. Two big things still on the docket. Crafting a new tax plan after they failed to override the Governor’s veto yesterday. AND a big STAR Bond proposal to lure the @Chiefs and/or @Royals.
